Komes, a Principal Data Scientist at Kasikorn Business Technology Group (KBTG), is leading a group of data scientists to transform Kasikorn Bank with Data Science. His focus is to bridge between scientific into practice linking data science capability to increase profitability, reduce cost and create new innovative data-driven product. Previously, Komes, VP at Krungsri Bank, was responsible for data transformation in banking business process using big data and AI. He focused on Data Intelligence & Analytics area, focusing on building data science team, acquiring alternative data and experimenting R&D project on new data science algoritms. He also works to democratize data to enterprise as well as lead the data adoption in the company. Previously, Komes worked as Chief Data Strategist responsible for driving Sansiri PLC to a Data-Driven Organization. He took as CDO role to build also data science teams to support strategic decision making as well as self-service data analytics platform. His role was to build a data science team focusing on profitability optimization, customer scoring and land acquisition prediction. Moreover, he also led a group of Business Insight Analysts to embbed analytics into the operational process including Sales, Marketing, Construction and back-end Operations. He also led the enterprise data strategy to ensure that Sansiri treat data as a strategic asset, maximizing a usage of data and ensuring the data quality and security processes. As CDS, he conducted the Data Governance Committee, presenting all data initiatives to C-Level for progress, key concern and strategic decision marking. He also provides the update on the development of data maturity level in each department and overall enterprise levels. Lastly, he manage the data analytics roadmap with alignment to business units and prioritized based on business impact, data availability and available budget. Komes also had more than 15 years of working experience in various Business Intelligence, Analytics and Big Data. His experience includes in various areas such as ERP, CRM, Datawarehousing and Analytics. Komes has also experience with several BI tools including SAP Business Object, and IBM Analytics Tools etc. In addition, Komes also involves in many Big Data initiatives using Hadoop, R Programming, Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azune Komes is also certified in Epic/Clarity ETL and SQL reporting. Komes, received Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Master of Science in MIS, is also working on his Doctoral Degree in Management Administration.
